Am I getting a good deal?

I've been offered a Videologic DigiTheatre DTS for 100 pounds. Just wondering if its a good deal?

Re: Am I getting a good deal?

I had the original, still have it in a cupboard somewhere, I was very pleased with it for what it was, but upgradeitus struck...

The criticism of the DTS system was that although it was streets ahead of the original it was expensive. If you can get one for £100 (new/barely unused I hope) then that sounds like a bit of a bargain, relative to what £100 would buy you in todays market. If it's second hand/heavily used then I'd try to negotiate a lower price. I haven't tried to sell on my original set because for the money I'd get for it I'd rather hang onto it to put in the kids room when they get a bit bigger.

Re: Am I getting a good deal?

If it were £50, yes.
£100, Not really.

For not much more, you could get an "entry level" Yamaha receiver and basic speaker package.

Re: Am I getting a good deal?

well its used, i know that, its getting delivered to my house, and its only for my xbox. just wanted something fairly cheap with a built in decoder and anything I'd found previously had been either expensive or didnt have the right specs.
