From posts on DS it seems to be available only in ASDA superstores. It actually is for 6mths 2 mix and a phone has to be connected.

Re: Sky Freesat £75 offer

Freesatfromsky is £150 installed (no phone) but this offer is more like a 6 month min term subscription in a one off payment, SKY are probably going to have to offer more aggressive pricing and retailer deals in the year to come before Freesat and with "free" tv from VM.

Re: Sky Freesat £75 offer

With the whole digital switch over i think more and more people will want to take up this option. I think in time Sky will maybe drop the price...

I wonder how long the phone line has to be connected for considering this
"The equipment is yours to keep after the 6 months.

You can then opt to cancel Sky TV and watch the 200+ free channels"

Even so a 2mix package is £15/month X 6 = £90 which means if you cancel at the end of 6 months you've still got a Freesat box, had installation etc. and 2 mixes for 6 months for only £75!!
Still a better offer than the £150 Freesat only

..and

"You will need to call 08703 335 402 quoting "6 MCP" (8.45 am - 8.45 pm) calls cost 8p per minute but when I called at about 11.00 am they were quite quick."
Actually gets you through to Sky...I've checked

Re: Sky Freesat £75 offer

I suppose the phone has to be connected either for 12 months- if you continue once the 2 mix/5mths is up or 6 mths if you do not continue with the 2 mix. Of course one could pay the £25 fee for no phone, but as is often written, it isn't policed closely. Whether a direct installer from Sky would agree just for a temporary extension to evade the extra fee is a question, that others may be able to answer. Even for that matter it also depends if you want wires tacked around your room and more holes. I wonder if some might be prepared to pay more to avoid extra lines and contracts. TBH Sky is not being generous: one could say the offer, cheap subs tv for 6 mths is not that much different from cheap heroin. Both pushers want to get you addicted.
