Benefits of callibration for my system???

Right... I've emailed Gordon enquiring about callibration but interested in a few points of view on this:smashin:

My home system is:

Visual display
Epson tw700 pj
panasonic 42" pwd7

Sources
marantz dv6600 - dvd
toshiba hd-e1
sky - sd
Artisan media centre

don't s'pose the rest matters...

My questions are... how much benefit will i get from callibration?? what would you suggest callibrating?? Should i get sky hd 1st then go for it?

Also i'm feeling an upgraditis urge so may well pop in a 50" panny plasma shortly:devil: , i'm guessing upgrade 1st then callibrate, i could focus on callibrating the pj 1st to improve on dvds and hd movies???

Upgrade first. Then have it all done. If you can only do one display then do the one you use the most I'd say.

i figured as much - just wondered if i'd see more clear benefit on the pj with the larger screen/hd etc. - i'll check the mail in the morning as i've got post footie blur right now :grin:

looks like the upgrade is happening sooner than planned - better go out and buy the mrs that pair of jimmy choo's 1st:rotfl:
