Hi,
A friend of mine came round last night, and showed me his "Babylon 5 Season 1 DVD Boxed Set" that he'd bought! (Lucky sod! )
We watched a couple of episodes, which were good. However I noticed that despite Warner's claiming the series has been "digitally remastered from the original prints" (their words, not mine), there still appears to be a fair amount of minor nicks, scratches, grain, and other artifacts left!
I don't know if this is true for all 22 episodes, but it is certainly noticeable in the first two! I wonder, therefore, if the series really has been "digitally remastered from the original prints" at all?
Anyone else can confirm or deny this, please, as I'd quite like to buy this set, at some point in the future when I can afford it, but NOT if the picture quality is like what I saw!
