how to find out which dvds are anamorphic

i asked this because a lot of online buy sites seem 50% correct on this.
one says widescreen, and one says anamorphic for the same title.
is there a THEE site which states if a dvd is anamorphic or not.
oh one more thing, i cant find out if these titles are anamorphic-
1.timecop
2.virus(with jamie lee Curtis)

apparently the Timecop R2 is anamorphic whilst the R1 version is not.
