Hi, I have just purchased a BT HOME HUB and have connected it to my Laptop wireless (Sony Vaio N21M/W), however I'm experiencing a pretty slow connection and am unable to stream internet radio or video without it cutting out?

I was thinking about buyuing a NETGEAR RANGEMAX card which runs at 280mbps, do you think that would help?

Any assistance would be great.

Thanks

Chris

Just changing your laptop end will not improve the connection. How far away are you from the hub, your PC should beable to tell you at what speed the transmission is.

Hi, I'm only about 2 metres away and the signal strength shows as 'Excellent'.
Status shows 3604 & 448 and 54MBPS on the wirelss status.

Thanks

Chris

If you are that close try connecting to the hub with a ethernet cable, far better, more reliable and always full on.

Try connecting via ethernet, then if the problem doesn't exist. Then you know you have to mess about with the wireless settings.
