Alternative to table or wall mount?

I have an LG 32LX2R which is currently in this arrangement piccy

The other half would like it wall mounted but thats a lot of hassle, plaster being channelled out and re-done (we had the whole wall plastered when we moved in), or run the cables straight out and then back in at floor level (its an outside wall)

I have an idea that there are some TV stands available which have some kind of pole on, that you can attach your TV to, or do these look dreadful?

Any suggestions on types of mounts/stands etc, gratefully received!

Re: Alternative to table or wall mount?

hi i was in a similar position i came accross this websitehttp://www.supportsav.co.uk/sd009.html
its not quite as high as i would have liked it does allow removal of the stand and makes the tv more secure.

Re: Alternative to table or wall mount?

Why does having a plastered wall prevent you from wall mounting it?
