need software to play Blue Ray on Sony AR21S
Hi,
Updated laptop to Vista but have lost WinBD player. Got to wait for Intervideo and Sony to release a version to play on Vista.
Is there any other version than Cyberlink version which is $99?
Or do I have to pay that or be patient and wait.
Just bought plasma and dying to connect laptop to it, that makes it twice as hard for Sony to get things sorted.
Thanks for help,
Phill

Have posted about Power dvd ultra on my AR31s before, get a XBox 360 HD drive and you can play both thru HDMI, its brill, if you have a expensive laptop why bulk at buying proper software, its only £55, every one wants something for nothing it seems. my BDwin still plays in Vista, Power is better anyway.

Not sure what to make of your comment! I bought an AR21s, it played Blu Ray discs and I was told that it was upgradeable to Vista.
Now that I have upgraded to Vista, I am still looking for the means to play Blu Ray. I don't want something for nothing, I want what I paid for.

Selwyn "it may be only £55" might be much to you but when you paid £2000 for a machine another 55 on top is a big pain in the ....
Just like your reply, you sound like a big smart ....

Yawn, anothe vista problem! About half of my installed HCPC users have upgraded, and it's a nightmare. As Vista was so delayed, I feel there's not much excuse for 3rd parties not to be ready with updated software.

You're right about Vista causing issues - but bear in mind the delays had a consequent knock on effect for developers too, not receiving final software versions from Redmond etc, they don't just effect Microsoft.

You write like a developer. Good excuse, I'll buy it. As an installer, you can sympathise with my point of view, I don't get paid if it doesn't work, and it's not my fault!

Thankfully not, but totally get your point about the front line taking all the flack if its useless though.
