ISF Certification

Morning (again!) ;o)

We are tentatively looking at getting involved with ISF certification, at the moment, I am just after a view on it, does anyone on here (other than Gordon etc) offer it as part of their installs?

And if not, why not? if so, why?

any thoughts / comments appreciated!

apologies for all the questions ;o)

Kind regards,
Jonathan

Re: ISF Certification

Morning Jonathan

To answer your question - we have found it has become increasing worthwhile to offer ISF calibration as part of installs - certainly clients are very supportive and understand the importance of ensuring they get the best from their investment. Prices for testing equipment and training have dropped and courses are now available in Europe which is one of the reasons we decided to bite the bullet. Not sure if it has already taken place but there was a course sheduled in the UK.

Manufacturers are also very keen on their equipment being set up correctly and many now actively discuss the benefits of ISF calibration - Graham Goodbun of Fujitsu is one person that springs to mind. There are also an increasing number of products being released now that include ISF calibration tools within the engineering set up menues that calibrators can use.

I'd certainly recommend going for it.

Regards

Alastair
