Hi i've just joined the forum.
I've noticed some threads regarding the virgin v+ box, & i have a question regarding this, as i have just had mine installed.
On the box is a little logo 'DOLBY DIGITAL'. Does anyone know wether this means that the box incorporates a dolby digital decoder? If not, what does this logo mean?
Many thanks
Jeff.

It doesn't have a decoder, however it can output Dolby Digital via optical.

Thanks for the reply. But can you please elaborate.
Can i connect my v+ box with the optical cable to my all-in-one surround system & listen to my t.v. in 5.1.
What advantages does this 'dolby digital' on the v+ box offer?

Many thanks

Jeff

It offers 5.1 on some channels (Movies etc.) and if your AV system has a optical input then connect it.
