I've read that the US is getting the BBC series Planet Earth on both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD on April 24th. Does anyone know when these are going to be released here?

I think I heard November time... The BD is region free though if you want to import it, i will be...

Just had a look on the Amazon UK web site, as I am also hoping to buy either the HD DVD or Blu Ray versions of Planet Earth. They are both now listed on there with release dates of 24th April 2007:

They are both just listings for the US version (which the UKsite always list).
If you look at the product detail it lists the US MPAA rating and that its by BBC Warner. Still a wait for a UK one I'm afraid :)

I understand that the discs will have both commentaries :thumbsup:
I am not sure about the BR being region free though. Hopefully it will be though. The HDDVD will definitely be (as are all discs)

Never used Movietyme before!! Seen yours had been despatched already, i thought i would give them ago. Ordered yesterday lunch time, got home last night and checked my emails, mine has also been despatched!!....pretty good service so far!!!! :clap: :clap: :clap:

Ooo, if this isnt reason to get the 360 HD DVD add-on then I dont know what is!

A little worried!!!:confused:
Knowing how sensitive HD-DVDs are, my copy seems to of been bashed about a little!! :thumbsdow
Opened the case and a few small bits of red plastic fell out, and disc 1 had been rattling about inside!! Have checked the disc and there are a few small scratches!!
Oh well, tonight will tell!!
