US Masters in HD

Quick headsup for those that did not know - starting Thursday on BBCHD. I, for one, am really looking forward to this - Augusta is a lovely looking course anyway and will look tremendous in HD

Re: US Masters in HD

Oh man i'm so jelous.

Not only will I get to miss this, in SD let alone in HD loverlyness , i'll be in France all weekend.

Only realised the Masters were next week after I'd made all my arrangements

Looks like i'll have to record several hours on the old PVR and watch in Monday/Tuesday, staying away from all Newspapers/Internet in the process

I'll PM you the result - or I'll get one of the mods to make it a sticky on the front page

Re: US Masters in HD

Really looking forward to this. After the excellent coverage of the Ryder Cup in all its glory on Sky, this promises to be just as good.

Will I be able to fit it all in the planner though?

Re: US Masters in HD

I'm presuming that the BBC have bought the HD coverage from the host broadcaster If the Beeb were doing it on their own then I would be a tad concerned due to their - as opposed to Sky's - relative inexperience in broadcasting live sports events in HD.

Re: US Masters in HD

Coverage is living up to expectations and the course looks even better in HD than it normally does!

Can Justin Rose pull it off, or is the lurking Tiger ready to pounce?

EDIT: Zach who?

Re: US Masters in HD

I can't wait for this either and doubt I will be able to 'record' it all 4 days golf in HD no way will it fit a standard Sky HD box.....!

Having seen Tiger live he is in a different league to anyone else playing today you just have to hope he has an off tournament.

Re: US Masters in HD

This looked awesome last year, and was what pushed me into going hd. However, since the bandwidth dropped from 20 to 16mbps last may- (just after the masters), the picture on bbc hd has dropped significantly, i just hope they pop it up again as some shows look dreadful. Fingers crossed.

Re: US Masters in HD

Let's see how it compares with the 2007 PQ - which was awesome indeed.

Fingers crossed !
