Thanks, i've been looking for something to make QT do A52

Cue another reason I love OSX, the installation procedures. Quick and easy drag and drop, and it just works

Doing similar things in the past in Linux has involved cumpulsory building from source, normally foiled by not having an arcane library that the doc only hints at, followed by tedious editing of a cryptic config file because my distro doesn't have a symlink to lib.monkey.so.1.3.2

Re: play Xvid in quicktime

What is the playback performance like for windows media? I have found with Flip4Mac, the performance of windows media is not that great, forcing me to use VLC or XinePlayer.

For me, I have always used xvid codec from xvidmovies.com. It performs alright.

Don't know if you guys know this but if you prefer QT and want to watch your movies in full screen, create an apple script with the following code

tell application "QuickTime Player"
present front movie scale screen
end tell

Save the script somewhere (e.g. Desktop). Open the file you want to watch, open the script and click Run. It should then appear in full screen mode. Double click to return to regular mode.
