My current Dvd writer is a SONY DVDRW DW-Q30A which I understand is an ide drive.

I am having problems with this drive and am thinking of replacing it with a Sata dual layer dvdrw.

Currently I have a Seagate barracuda ST3250620AS (sata) attached to my Asus A8N Sli deluxe.

Would it be possible to attach a sata dl dvdrw?

Also any recommendations on which drive (in black preferably) I should buy?

Thanks
