Hi all,

I am decking out one of my rooms at home with film posters, but I seem to have run across a little problem. I can't find any frames for them! All the stores I have been into have the largest frames at 60x80cm, whereas film posters are generally around 70x100 or thereabouts.

The only place I have found large frames are Ikea, but they don't have glass in them, they use a thin plastic cover, which looks really cheap.

If any of you have done this, where did you get your frames from? Custom made ones seem to cost about £70, and to be honest I am not thrilled at paying that sort of money for a £6.99 poster.

I've had mine custom framed each cost me £75 but you cant beat the quality & finish.

I did look into cheaper options but nothing came close, Hobby Craft do framing kits which might be worth a look but I'm sure I couldnt see anything that went upto the 40" x 20" that most movie posters are & is the main reason I went for custom...very few places cater for any bigger than the usual poster/print sizes.

Honestly if your hoping to keep the posters mint & for a long time then I would recommend custom all the way.

I've sent the missus down to Ikea this morning to get one of the plastic cover frames. Its 70x100cm and only costs £11.99, so I will put it up and see what it looks like. If its crap it won't cost me much, but it might surprise me once it is up on the wall.
