Question for any Firefox users out there about opening bookmarks in new tabs. I'm having difficulty on my new MBP by not having a "right-click" on the tackpad, and using the "ctrl" key is not working as a right-click on every option.

As an example, see the attachments below. The first one shows that when I have direct link in the bookmark toolbar, and I press ctrl and click, it brings up a menu option. This is good, just how the right-click on my old laptop worked.

However, on the 2nd pic, when I choose a link under one of the bookmark "folders", and I hold the ctrl button, and click, it opens up the link straight away in the current tab. I don't get a drop down menu option when I try to select a link when it's in a folder. Also, when I use any of the links, either in folders or direct in the Bookmarks drop down menu, ctrl+click also does not work, it does not bring down a drop down menu.

Is this just a limitation of Firefox on Mac I will have to live with, or am I missing something? Is the option to open an empty tab, and then click the link in the folder the only choice?

Hi,

Are you aware that you can enable a right click on the trackpad?
Go into trackpad options on keyboard and mouse settings and enable 'tap trackpad using two fingers for secondary click'. Then you tap the pad with two fingers to get a right click.
You can also enable two finger scrolling which is cool

Also, if you press the command key (the one with the apple on it) instead of control when clicking a link or a link in a folder, this should make it appear in a new tab in Firefox.
