Anyone know when the next series will be screened? Thought the PQ & effects were great tonight - flying cities being shades of Azimov's Foundation trilogy?

Closer to the end of the Year, i think they are shooting season 4 at the moment :)

I would think it will be 20 weeks before now ;) around Nov...

The US still haven't seen anything from s3e11 and won't do until next month so that may have a bearing on when SKY1 can screen the fourth season.

They are always shown in Canada first due to it being filmed there.

In the US the final 10 episodes of Stargate Atlantis season 3 only start airing on April 13th and it's been announced Season 4 will start on the US SciFi in autumn 2007.

Stargate SG-1 has aired its final episode of series 10 on Sky but the US will only air the second half of season 10 starting in April too. There won't be a series 11 but 2 direct-to-DVD movies will be released late 2007 called Stargate: The Ark of Truth and Stargate: Continuum.

An un-named new spin-off series is due to start in 2008.

Same logic could be said about SG-1.

No its not that simple they paid for first run rights and choose to air it first.

Not always.

The season premiere is always first on the US Scifi channel but if they delay their broadcasts then Canada and UK broadcasters pull ahead.
In the case of SG1 and Atlantis it's MGM who retain overseas rights so US Scifi get the US rights and MGM can sell to everyone else.

Where did you get this info from? Is it reliable? (And are you sure you're not talking about the cartoon series?).

No, nothing to do with the unsuccessful animated series which was called Stargate Infinity.

Yep starts in US then stops this is because of how they schedule stuff but it runs longer in Canada because of like I stated it is filmed there this was even said by members of SG crew.

The reason aswell why they don't have SG1 and Atlantis side by side all the way is because it's not filmed like that they put it side by side only when the two will have crossovers.
