I seriously think i want to go to VM and ditch sky but in all honesty most of our TV wathcing is done from Sky+ and I have magic eyes dotted aorund the house, can I do somehting similar with VM? We always seem to get half way through a film we recorded and then end up wathcing it in bed or somehting so having a sepertae box will be a watse of time..

Cheers

They have something in the pipeline similar to the TV Link system. No idea when it's coming though. Even a TW/VM (or whatever they're called this week) 'senior engineer' friend of mine doesn't know. :god:

Until then, try this http://www.tvlink.co.uk/tvlinkplus.htm

I have tried the TV LINK + system an a standard VM box and it does not work. I get a red LED on the second TV end but cannot change channels etc. Tried using the VM remote and 2 different universal remotes. Also the picture degraded on the second TV when this kit was plugged in.

What make of 'standard' VM box?

Also, the fact that your picture degraded indicates a fault somewhere.

I also used to have sky+ and used a philips video sender, mine works exactly the same with my v+ box.

Some of the older cable boxes use irda remotes, which can cause problems.

There are issues though if you want to connecy the v+ with an hdmi lead, it disables all of the other outputs, if you search the virgin thread you will find info on this.

So does the tvlink work on the black v+ box or is there something else?
