telewest box to projector help

Hi just got a projector and trying to hook up my telewest box to it using a scart to composite cable (yellow red white) the scart is in the same place it would have been for the tv but plug in the composite cable to the projector it doesnt pick it up,but it does with my xbox 360.any ideas?

sorted it went ot maplin and bought a bi directional scart to phono lead with input output switch,hope this sorts out a few others problems,cheap solution i know but its just till i get my lcd in a few months time
