I'm having the same problem with my new samsung tv LE40R74BDX tried all the stb codes suggested in the manual from 001 to 046, though 046 doesn't seem to have the same effect when put in as the other codes i.e. the cable button only flashes twice not three times.
I like shaka11 i too would appreciate any advice concerning this, and also on another issue, is audio output from the samsung/ntl digital box nicam stereo? as the tv doesn't say stereo when ntl switched on through ext.1
