What can I mount on a stud wall?

I've got a stud/partition wall in my study, and I'd love to mount an LCD telly on it (up to 28" max). Is there any TV/mount which is lightweight enough to survive on a stud wall? I'd like an analog tuner, to receive the analog Sky signal which I pump around the house.

TIA for any tips.

Re: What can I mount on a stud wall?

I've just bought a samsung Le26R74 for my bedroom which has stud plasterboard walls. I havent yet mounted it but according to various people I've spoken to in electrical stores (and my dad!), it should be no problem.

check out these threads:

Re: What can I mount on a stud wall?

Hi
I figure in one of the recommended posts.

Plasterboard is stronger than people think as long as you use the correct fixings AND FIX THEM CORRECTLY!!

However I would not recommend an arm type swivelling bracket..........a bit too much stress.

A simple straight slot in should be fine.

But lets be honest not everyone is cut out for fixing TVs on walls.

If a bit of wallpaper falls off that you havent pasted properly.....who really cares.

Your new flat panel falls off the wall .............oh F##K
