Can imac's be wall mounted?

I have a slight issue in the the 20'' imac that i am getting next week won't be able to fit on the tiny desk that i want to get for my tiny beedroom. Can they be wall mounted?

I have a real issue with space in my bedroom it is so cramped. This is why i was originally considering a MacBook/Macbook Pro or a Mac Mini

Not too sure how to get round this

cheers

Re: Can imac's be wall mounted?

They really dont take up much room on a desk. Mine is the 24" version - it's right at the back of the desk - the footprint is only about 3 or 4 inches deep on it's stand.

From looking at the back of mine, although I could detach the stand, there are no mounting holes for mounting against a wall....

Re: Can imac's be wall mounted?

Apple sell an adaptor for the 24" Imac, but sadly not for the smaller models.

The adaptor allows you to attach the Imac to any stand or wall mount that uses the common VESA standard.

Might be worth Googling around to see if some clever person has found a way to attach the smaller models the same way.

Thanks for that guys. I didn't think it was wall mountable. I am going to have to have a good think about it now. Whether i can fit a bigger desk in to acomadate it or see about the Mac Mini or Macbook/Macbook pro
