I stream media from PC - XBOX (XBMC) - TV . Pictures / music / TV shows (all wirelessly ,other than XBOX-TV). Admittedly I don't have any DVDs stored on my PC , so haven't tried it , but I am fairly sure it would work

Try looking in the high definition tv hardware section, there are lots of threads about such devices.
Bear in mind wireless is only adequate for music/SD content, you won't be able to wireless send HD video.

SD - PC to Xbox then XBMC (with component pack)
HD - PC to Xbox 360 as .ts files

Cheers guys, although I'm not much of a gamer and the Xbox is a large piece of kit.
When you say: Bear in mind wireless is only adequate for music/SD content, you won't be able to wireless send HD video.
Do you mean that it isnt as good as wired equipment on SD or is the quality the same? Thanks for the pointer about HD content though, I didn't know that.

.... and the Xbox is a large piece of kit.
The Xbox can be very small , or made to look like any DVD player you want ;) But thats a whole other thread/forum

I've used one of these for quite a few years. - hard wired to a wireless router - stream films/tv/music perfectly.
DLink Media Lounge- DSM320 - I think theres a newer version out..and one with HD.

Quite a few of these types of products out there.

Sorry to butt in, but I have an xbox at home and it hasn't been used much (at all really), can this be modded by just using software? Im not really ambitious enough to physically mod it.
So basically, can I make it a "media lounge" just by using software?
Sorry for the "thick" question.
