A thread I often see on many Mac Forums is what carry case to get. I just wanted to give you guys the heads up about a case I got recently. They are made by Huzzk (http://www.huzzk.com/about.html) for the MacBooks and the MacBook Pros. They protect the Mac really well, also in my opinion, they look great! I got mine from ebay for £28 inc delivery.

They don't have a strap, but are perfect for putting in a shoulder bag or rucksack.

Here's are some of the many designs:

They are actually done in rubber, which helps protect, makes it water resistant, and looks damn cool. The tyre one is actually grooved like a real tyre!

There are elastic straps in the case, which mean you can open the Mac quickly, and not have to worry about taking it out of the case:

They can be bought on eBay (http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.co.uk%2Fws %2F&fkr=1&from=R8&satitle=huzzk&category0=and) (can take a few weeks to arrive) and the odd other site (still very new, so not many places have them). I know this may seem like spam, but I am not part of the business in anyway, just really happy with the product I got. I see many cases on the market protect the mac, but make it look rubbish in doing so. The huzzk case protects it just as well, if not better, plus actually adds to the coolness of a Mac!

The only one I have seen that looks like it offers more protection is made by Crumpler, and called School Hymn. However it looks boring as, makes the Mac a lot bulkier, and I can't seem to find the MacBook Pro version available for uk (there are conflicting reports if the powerbook version works, some say it does, others say that because the screen is 0.4 inches bigger then it won't. I also couldn't find an american site which shipped to Uk). My mate has School Hymn one for his iBook. He swears by it (he is a clumsy guy, and drops his mac quite a bit), but even he was very impressed with my Huzzk case.

You also get a carry pouch with the huzzk case, can be used for a number of things, ipod, camera etc. Think it comes with it though for the purpose of carrying a wireless mighty mouse though. I definitely recommend the huzzk case mate.

they look well cool! I have a fairly nice case at the moment but its a slip in one which btw is designed to fit the 15" powerbook but fits my macbook pro like a glove.

Hmmm that purple one is so tempting

i use a STM shoulder bag for my powerbook 12'er, nicely made, well padded, stylish bags. they don't look like a laptop bag either so its good for carrying it about late at night (especially on the tube)

It really must look like I own shares in the company, but they're now for sale on the actual apple site (http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukstore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=54A485A2&fnode=home&nplm=TN728) itself. I know when I got my case, they were just starting out, so to get them on the Apple site I think shows how good they must be considered :smashin:
