Why did you not ask in the new - Mac Hardware & Software (http://www.avforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=303) thread ?

What?! I simply do not believe 100 unique posters posted in the Mac sub-forum request thread

I don't have anything against Macs. Just saying is all. Stuart become more mellowed now? :p

macs are a huge part of the market now, and although still a minor percentage of the user base, they're products are becoming more and more popular by the day

and obviously they're far superior in every way!!!!

The apple mac has about 6.22% of the market, but if you compare that to something like the ps3 'currently' in the uk you would get around the same amount. So I do see a point to having a Mac side to the forum. :smashin:

Having a Mac subforum, begs the question why is this topic still in General Chat?

I wonder how busy it's gonna be... seeing as Macs never have a problem and all....

I couldn't resist, sorry!

Godamned PC users infiltrating our sanctum. Begone.

I guess most of the posts will be...

'So how do I create a movie, edit a photo, etc..'

Rather than...

'dell e520 vista problem'

'Tell me the best Internet Security Suite? (Not ZoneAlarm/Norton) How about Kaspersky?'

'Internet Explorer 7 problems'

'MCE Crashes on .TS with PowerDVD Ultra'

(just random posts from the Windows sections) ;)

The forum already looks like it's quite busy. Won't be long and i won't need to look at all at Mac Rumours

I've already given up with the Mac Rumors forum, it's pretty much the same questions everyday, with the odd interesting one here and there. This place seems very alive and well right now, and if we keep getting people to search before starting a new thread, then I think it will eclipse MacRumors Forum in time! :smashin:

Apple have around 7% of computer market but IIRC that is averaged across all sales ... so if their corporate penetration is lower their consumer take-up will be higher ...
