Re: azearaus how to use it?
If you mean Azureus, you open the program,
go to "File",
press on "Open"
select ".torrent File"
Pick the file from your desktop or where ever you have it.
I personally use "Acquisition", it's much more user friendly and better suited to the mac imo.

Re: azearaus how to use it?
As above, that's pretty much all there is to it. You may have issues if you're behind a firewall.
After following the instructions above the top half of the screen should have an entry in it for the file you're trying to download. If it doesn't then something has gone wrong. If it has then the rest is down to your internet connection and firewall settings.
The Azureus client should go off the the Tracker (the server that's co-ordinating the download), find a list of Seeds (people who have the whole file) and peers (people who have some or none of the file) and directs them to each other. If you don't see the seed or peer count increasing, then the file may no longer be available. The last column gives you the status of the Tracker, if it's reporting an error of some sort then either the Tracker has gone down, or your connection is screwed.
You may need to open the port Azureus is using for both TCP and UDP traffic on your firewall.
Let us know how you get on.

Re: azearaus how to use it?
Is Azureus seeing the torrent?
Does it open in Azureus but then not download?

I'm not sure
basically it lists the torrent then gives me a countdown on how long
I start? but there is no other activity and when I check in files it lists
the songs on this torrent. Again I'm not really tech savy when it comes to these things

I don't understand what your saying here.
If it comes up in the Azureus app that means you've got the torrent on there fine. If it gives you how much of the file it has downloaded it's downloading the material if it isn't downloading chances are there are no seeders.
Try some other torrents mainly popular ones to see if you can get it working.

Could be he's seeing the "tracker update in... secs" countdown.
Probably got a duff torrent. Delete it and try something else. Try something popular to start with as it'll prove whether there's anything wrong with your install. Look for something recently added with hundreds of peers and seeds.

Re: azearaus how to use it?
i think azuerus is a cracking app and i use it soley for my P2P, but for users just starting out in the P2P world, its a nightmare, i'd recommend using another client first, learning the ropes and then trying azuerus.
its far to complex to configure perfectly for the beginer, has far to many options that still baffle me after using it for ages, and many plugins that make little on no sense at all
if your a wizz with P2P then its great but for beginers forget it

Re: azearaus how to use it?
I used to use Azureus, but you had to make changes for Intel Macs when it first came out... now use Xtorrent and the only thing i really miss is the ability to download individual parts from a folder, rather than the whole thing.
