Speakers for Yamaha RXV2700?

First off, I'm a rookie here! I'm looking to finally build-out my AV system. I already have a Pioneer HD43 and the Pioneer DV-868-AVI. In addition, I have already placed an order for the Monolith-DF sub.

I'd like to add the RX-V2700 to my new setup. Assuming I go with the 2700, can someone help me with the ideal satellite/center speakers? I have looked at B&W M1, Quad L-ite, and Aego T. Is there a concern that the 2700 would overload the smaller speakers like M1 and Aego? For the M1 and Aego, the speaker tech specs say recommend amp power of no more than 100w, but I think the 2700 drives each at 140W? I'd prefer to stick with relatively small speakers, but don't need to be micro.

apologies for naive question, but like I said - i'm a rookie here! Please help!
