Antoine (Training Day) Fuqua’s Tears Of The Sun has often been cited as a one-note action flick riding on the back of the terrible true-life atrocities still being committed across various strife-torn African nations. Detractors point to the Rambo-type saviours of Bruce Willis’ Lt. Waters and his Seal team going in like the American World Police and saving the day … again.
