There is no definitive answer to that is "good enough" for weddings, but typically one would use a larger 3 CCD model, something like the Sony VX2100, or it's pro model cousin the PD170. A VX2100 costs £1400 here

You could do a decent job with something like the Sony HC3/5/7 which would cost you far less, but they won't have as good low light performance, and with their small size they don't look as professional.
