Samsung SP46L6HX Switching Off Intermittently

Hi my Samsung SP46L6HX has of late been switching itself off onto standy by.
Tonight it has done it about 12 times
There are no lights flashing on it, it just switches onto stand by and the red light comes on the front of the set.
Worringly though when switching the set back on from stand by there is a dark green tint to the left side of the screen before the picture comes on.
Could this be a faulty bulb ???
There has been no loss of picture brightness though.

Has anyone had a similar problem with their set.

I have seen there is a Samsung Tech who posts on here so if your reading this could you reply to my post please.

I have the same problem, mine is away for repair but speaking to them, they can't find anything wrong.

Another member had this problem Samsung sp46 gone after 13 months

Seems replacing the ballast? fixes it.
