Software to record a webcam session ?

Hi,

I'm wanting to do some video podcast testing and wanted to use my webcam as the video / audio source. Can anyone recommend a suitable (free) program to allow you to record the audio / video from a webcam.

cheers,

Nige

(PS: this will be for windows)

Re: Software to record a webcam session ?

Webcams use USB mainly.

I suspect windows Movie maker ( free with Xp ) should be able to record you recording off the webcam.

Otherwise webcams themselves almost invariably seem to come with a freebee program for capture for low re video as is suitable for a podcast

If you want to record an interactive video session ( ie video form someone else online) it may be worth seeing if such bundled ones can as I dont know of any free screen capture programs.
