NOWNorwich, XFM and Psion Wavefinder

I've been using a Psion Wavefinder on my Windows2000 music server for ages - mainly for timed recording of The Remix from XFM on Sunday and now Friday nights.
We moved to Norwich from London a while back and you can get XFM on DAB via the NOWNorwich multiplex.

Listening live the sound is hideously crackly, like over amplification/distortion which makes it hard to listen to. Recordings are fine?!? I use DABBAR but also have the Psion software both of which have the same problem live and no problem on recording as mp2 or mp3.

I've tried all 26 stations the wavefinder gets on BBCNational, Digital1 and NOWNowich and this is the only channel it happens on but is the only channel I really want to listen to live!

I've uninstalled and reinstalled DABBAR and the psion stuff and I've removed the hardware from device manager and reinstalled it to no effect.

Any suggestions?

No XFM listeners in Norwich then...
Guess I'll have to fit the roof mount antenna and see what my other DAB tuners do.

Well I fitted my external DAB aerial and I get bright fresh XFM in the lounge on the Acoustic Solutions SP111 so I guess it's the Wavefinder/NOWNorwich feed - anyone else got a Wavefinder?

I've not got a wavefinder as my first DAB was on a PCI card but did you know there's alternative software available for them?

Thanks - I'm using DABBAR not the weird Psion software but as it's basically just a 'wrapper' to the same drivers it seems to be afflicted by the same issues (not surprising really).
I'll give Dabexplorer a go at some point - the rest of the links seem to be dead.
