Hi,

I've been on Sky+ for a few years now and seriously thinking of going back to NTL - sorry Virign now they have a similar box.

I'll have the Sky movies package on it. Do Virgin transmit the dolby digital sountracks to the movies like sky do?

Only a small thing but it is something I take for granted on Sky+...

The price I can get a whole phone, BB and tele package for is fantastic, but don't want to take the plunge if Sky HD is really the way to go for quality etc.

Any new of some proper HD channels finding their way onto V+ ?

When I was trying to cancel my Sky yesterday they were trying to say Sky are about to halt Virgin carrying their channels if they dont start paying them more etc.. Was a right poor sales tactic they were told to read out.. haha.. Could be true though eh...

Anyway I look forward to feedback.

Cheers!!!

The Sky movie channels aren't transmitted in DD. The only thing that is at the moment, is some of the BBC HD trial stuff.

No hard news on additional HD channels arriving, although HBO are to added shortly but nothing stated about HD.

Sky are playing hardball with Virgin re Sky1 etc. There is a possibility that the plug will be pulled, although it may just be a negotiating tactic. Plenty of threads on that subject already.

I'd stick with Sky for the moment, if you can and see how that situation pans out. If Sky pull the plug, then I'll be forced to switch to them.
