Question Advice on which 2.1 Speakers to get?

Basically I have the Samsung LE26R74BD LCD TV. I have this hooked up to my PC(VGA),DVD(HDMI) and Xbox 360(Component). I don't believe my room is large enough to have a 5.1 system setup so I am basically looking for the best 2.1 setup. I currently have Logitech® X-230's so I am looking for an improvement. Also whats the best method of connecting them to the samsung telly?

Any advice appreciated!

My budget is £150 max.

AE Aego M would probably be your best bet at £89:

After that there's not a lot around worth considering until you get to the £200 price range, like the Audioengine A5. Although this is a pair of powered stereo speakers (no sub), they are full range:

To connect you should have a stereo out from the telly which you take and connect to the phono or mini jack input on the speakers (using the appropriate lead).

Hi thanks for that. I have been looking at these and so have purchased them now.

I have a question regarding the setup. I basically want to use these with my samsung television, the setup I will have is;

I am unsure about which leads i need to purchase to connect the PC(sound card) to tele and to connect tele to speakers.

Thanks

Re: Advice on which 2.1 Speakers to get?

You've probably only got one set of stereo inputs on the telly, taken up, I presume, by your 360.

The way to go for the PC is to connect to the telly by VGA, and direct connect the audio out from the cound card (probably mini-jack) to the audio in on the speakers. I presume you bought the AE speakers, and I think there is a mini-jack in and phono in, so get a mini-jack to mini jack for the PC and phono to phono for the TV.

Does this make sense?

PS I would wait until you get the speakers to get the leads, just in case. I always find it much easier once I can see what's there.
