what is the best way to set this up as i dont have much of a clue when it comes to this projector my primary screen i use for the pc is a 44" sony grand wega

here are my problems

1 how to i get pc to right size in image+

PC Resolution should be matched to the fixed native resolution of the projector so that 1280x720 for a 1:1 pixel perfect setup. You may need to enable HDTV resolutions in the settings of your graphic card if you cant select this straight away.

No idea, the projector picture should be nice and bright in a completly black room (no lights anywhere). For example straight out ther box running a 3D movie like Ice Age should have scenes in it that may look too bright and hurt your eyes.

If you think its your PC causing a dim picture to the projector then plug in a cheapo dvd player directly to it and test on that.

If its obviously very dim then you could have a bulb issue but its not that common. Take a pic and post it in here for us to see.

HD is already being output from the PC to the projector if you use 1280x720 resolution. The pc will scale dvd's to that resolution (when you go full screen) so this isnt actually a HD image as the original dvd video isn't 1280x720 but it stretchs it to fit the HD display.

If you want to see some real HD content then you can download some HD Movie clips from the net (they are quite big in size) have a look on DivX website, Apple website and ************ too.

You should be able to buy Hi Def DVD players for the PC but ive not looked yet myself, these would be able to play retail HD-DVD or Blue-ray DVD's which are starting to appear in Azda, Virgin etc.

Hope that helps

Re: pt-ae900e pc setup right lots of help needed

What software are you using to playback DVD's?
What version of windows is this? Vista? XP?
Have you looked at Overlay settings in your graphic card settings (XP)?
