Re: Finally Transferring FROM Tiscali!

I am not surprised that you are abandoning tiscali. I wished that I had never switched from BT. I find connections are on and off and you don't know whats going on. I checked the other day using my dialup modem and they were apologising to broadband customers for the connection problem. I don't have the answer to you question but some ISP's deliberately string you along. Sometimes it is best to bite the bullet and cancel your broadband then you do not need a MAC code.

Re: Finally Transferring FROM Tiscali!

Yea but it can take so much longer to cancle and then rejoin someone else!

I mean before I was with talktalk any that was a even bigger mistake than tiscali!

Im glad my 12 month contract is up with tiscali..

Re: Finally Transferring FROM Tiscali!

i got a MAC code from Tiscali within 3 hours of requesting and gave it to my new provider (Newnet) and was reconnected in 7 days without any loss of broadband during the change over.

Enjoy the freedom leaving Tiscali - since moving 3 months ago - not one singel dropped connection, super fast downloads even at peak times and superb customer service. One delighted ex-tiscali customer!

Re: Finally Transferring FROM Tiscali!

Well thats good to here

First ill need to deal with something that I found out today...

Whilst paying for tiscali on by credit card they have also been using a direct debit on another account that hadnt been autorised

So getting my money twice is a bit irritating!
