Small room - max throw 8.5ft - what options

Anyone out there in a similar situation? What is the best HD projector out there that is not affected by such a short throw.

Also, seating will roughly be about 7ft away.

Anyone tell me what options I have projector wise, I am hoping to have a 72" diag screen.

Would spend up to 1k on the proj.

Scott, have a look at the throw calculator on www.projectorcentral.com.

Check all the usual suspects, Panny AX100E, Hitachi TX300, Z5 etc, and see which ones fit

I was in a similar situation as yours, I opted for the Hitachi PJTX200 (new model is the 300 obviously) as it was flexible enough (lens shift etc) to project a 77" image. Great bit of kit and highly recommended. Check link in previous thread which should give you compatible projectors.

The Z4 is pretty good. Check out this guide for help on screen size, throw distance and ratio.
