Help!! Next Step for 3300 Hiss

Well I'm hoping to gain some insight here as I'm about ready to throw my 3300 out the window.

I have a hiss coming from all 5 speakers, that seems to dissipates enough to not be annoying at med-high volumes after about 10 min of use after powering on.

I've disconnected all other components and turned off all other power sources around receiver and it still happens with my speakers connected.

When the receiver is on mute there is no hiss.

I'm concerned at how intense the hiss is when the receiver is first turned on and then how it tones itself down. For quite a while it the hiss would totally go away, but now it seems to linger.

What can be my next troubleshooting step here? Is the receiver on its last legs and should i look for a new one?

thanks so much in advance!!!

Hi

Could try resetting it. In the manual there should be the procedure on how to do it. Usually listed under Re-intialization of the Processor.
