can you recommend a cd player please to accompany grado rs-1 and ra-1amp....

main music i listen to is dance music and rock music,

The Grado RS1 with RA1 can be a bit on the bright side so look for something not so bright but more warm sounding e.g. Marantz 63 KI signature with superclock mods or something like that Arcam and Naim can also complement the Grado sound. Remember anything that has a nice relaxing sound will complement the grado's forward soundstage. So best to read hifi news, choice, world, plus and similar mags and when they have reviewed CD's look for ones with a tube output stage or have sound to the one I've described and yes I do own Grado's.

In addition I hear that CD Players with Upsampling to 192k and beyond have a sound much more similiar to analog. I don't know this myself though.

I would take a look at something by NAIM, Rega, Arcam or NAD.

Shanling just sprang to mind, you should be able to get a decent model (second hand or possibly new) and upgrade (parts in the player) down the line.
