Hack for Isymphony M2

I bought my brother a Isymphony M2 dvd/stereo for christmas and was wondering if anyone new of a working region hack.
It's a great little unit but the fact he can't watch all his DVD's is a little annoying.



I've checked at all the usual sites but can't find any mention of a hack.

The fact that it plays Divx off a dvd and video files from a docked Ipod Video is cool but without a multiregion hack it's fairly useless (most of my DVD's are non R2).

Could I email Isymphony and ask if they have a way of unlocking the region?
Is there a chance a company would supply this info (if it exists)?

I just wish to know how people find out about these hacks in the first place.

Hi, I also bought a M2UK and it only workds with region 2 dvds. Did you find the way to hack the dvd so it can be region free? I have not been able to find the code myself. I would greatly appreciate it if you can share it with me. Thanks.

I've found the hack code to make the unit multi-region.

1. Make there is no CD/DVD in drawer
2. Press remote control 'display' key
3. Enter '6698' followed by '0' (for no region)

You should now find that this will work in multi-region mode.
