Sony ericsson W810i Led flash problem

Hi

I recently bought my w810i from ebay. There seems to be a problem with it as when i open the camera and take the picture the flash doesn't work. I have even tried it in a completly dark room and by putting my hand on the sensor. I have tried to search through different settings but there is no option for turning the flash on in this way. The light does work when i use it as only the light but doesn't work with normal camera's shutter function.

Is it really a problem or is there any other setting i have to change?

any help will be much appriciated.

Re: Sony ericsson W810i Led flash problem

The reason for your problem is that it's not a flash! It's an LED light. If it is needed in low light photography, you just use the shortcut (* button). The LED then comes on full time. When you press the shutter button half-way to focus, the frame goes green, then fully de-press and the "flash" brightens up.
In actual fact, it's because there's two led's and the second one fires up when the the shutter button is pressed.
Hope that answers your question.
