VP50 and VW50

Hi guys,

Thinking of getting a VP 50 for my new sony pearl projector instead of swapping my amp. The amp i have is fine anyway (A2) and the VP50 would provide the hdmi connectivity for the pearl and also hopefully improve the picture of sd dvd and my other sources - predominantly sd via humax freeview and soon to be ps3 and/or hd dvd (tosh ex1).

Are there any problems awaiting me with the VP50 (ringing, etc) and would I be better doing something totally different?

Any advice appreciated

Re: VP50 and VW50

I briefly borrowed a VP50 with the Pearl and I thought the improvement very worthwhile.

I know you did mate!

Its just that there are some threads on here expressing concern about the VP50 and some particular issues. I might ask the same question on the projector forum as I think there are quite a few Pearl owners with the VP50?
