Re: Sennheiser CX300 Ear Canal Headphones - Black £15.40 Delivered
I have just purchased a pair of these at a similar price. I have a pair of px200s I'm really happy with but the cx300s are rubbish! the sound is bass light regardless of which size earpiece I use and the sound seems really hollow. Apparently changin the equaliser settings on your player can help but I always feel you shouldn't have to do this. (I'm using them with ipod)
I have heard that there are fakes of these being sold as they are going cheap from a few stockists, although mine look genuine to be fair.
If you know someone who has a pair I would try them first - I won't be using mine again if I can help it, if I need to use in ear 'phones I'll be sticking to the packaged ipod ones or I might opt for some fontopias

"Sticking with the packaged iPod ones"
Are you sure the CX300's aren't faulty?

The last thing you could describe the CX300s as being is bass light. Are you sure you are using them properly. I know when I got mine I couldn't get a good fit, regardless of which earbud I tried, which made them sound tinny, it was only until I held them in by hand that they sounded great with real good bass. However, I concluded that the ear-canal type headphones weren't for me.

strange, i think they are anything but bass light, certainly have more bass than my E2c (although lower quality). i have to use a flat EQ setting on my HD5 with the CX300.

I know nothing about headphones and don't want to spnd much on them, I just lost mine. Would you say these are the best I'm going to get for the price?

Re: Sennheiser CX300 Ear Canal Headphones - Black £15.40 Delivered
At £15? Yes. I now think they are the best canals I have tried, (I own Panasonic HJE50s as well and in the past had Sony EX71 and Philips whatever the model no. is), especially at this price. I don't think you can really go wrong. Probably the best budget option for the fun "bass" sound and I will be using for when expensive IEMs are not suited

Re: Sennheiser CX300 Ear Canal Headphones - Black £15.40 Delivered
Didn't want to start a new thread but wondered if there are any good earphones at this price that aren't or the ear canals i.e. like those usually supplied with players. I'm just a bit wary of these in-ear things.

As an alternative I was thinking about looking at the Sennehiser MX55.

Well I'll give these a go, the MX55 have a strnge projection to keep them in your ear which I'm not too fond of. for the price that the CX300 are I may as well try them.
