Pioneer 656 and dvd MP3s

I'm thinking about getting one of those smart new pioneers that play DVD, DVD Audio, SACD and MP3 formats from CDs, CDRs, CDRWs and DVDRs. Here's my question:
If it can play MP3 and read DVDR or DVD rewritable discs then can it read MP3 from a DVD writable disk?
It would be really cool if it could 'cos you could get about 100 albumns onto a single DVD with very good quality.

Anyone got a Pioneer 656 and a computer DVD writer that can confirm this?

I'll give it a try, but I suspect the answer will be no.

Certainly the manual for the 656 only refers to MP3s being on CDs.
