pixel magic and arcam dv139

i have ordered an arcam fmj 139 dvd player and currently have a 50" fujitsu plasma and a pixel magix pe1000 pro scaler. my question is this: what resolution would i set the dvd player to (can it do just 576i and 480i over hdmi?). i notice it can scale up to 1360 x 768 - would i set it to this?

Re: pixel magic and arcam dv139

The 768p setting on the Arcam is 1366x768 which 1:1 matches a Panasonic but not a Fuji which is 1360 wide. The Arcam IMO is a better deinterlacer than the Pixel magic so I would consider 576p output first, but of course the simplest thing to do is just try the options and see for yourself which one proves to be the best!!
