solution to hacking region restricted DVDs
I would like to raise a debate about the region restrictions placed on DVDs which stop me from watching movies and tv shows I brought over to London from the US.
Basically the players I have got in England are useless for playing these discs I brought over and I don't think it is right.
There must be many people like me who have DVDs from other parts of the world and I cannot believe there has not been a huge row about the restrictions that are placed on these by manufacturers.
I would like to thank ivanhash a user on this forum who came up with a solution to the Panasonic problem.
I am not an expert by any means I resent having to search high and low in the hope of finding a way to solving this problem. I haven't got the time or the knowledge and so ivanhash's suggestion was welcome
Not only did they provide instructions to get rid of the restriction on my Panasonic that was supposed to be only hackable with some internal tampering, but also provided help for my Samsung and Philips units.
I like the fact they’ll do it for you if you send them the money effectively for a beer.
Anyway it is great it is sorted and I can watch all my films and shows.
But it is totally wrong that I have to go through that just to get a region free DVD.
I don’t think it is right and it is time somebody set up sort of campaign to get these restrictions taken players.
