AVR2807 connected to 1930 via HDMI

Can someone please suggest the settings to connect the 1930 to the 2807 with the HDMI cable.
Audio works, but no video signal. I now use the default video analogue in.
I've tried all sorts of settings, but helas no video with only the HDMI.

Whats the display and the connections from the amp to it? Have you tried the player direct to the screen via HDMI?
If so try the RGB setting in the setup menu, as the the resolution that would depend on the screens native panel, you then set the player as close as possible unless the screen manufactuer recommends one, some of the Hitachi screens recommend 1080i even though the panel is 768.

Re: AVR2807 connected to 1930 via HDMI

My TV is a Pioneer plasma pdp-4333hde which has scart and Component, no HDMI or DVI. Resolution is 1024x768.

I would like to connect the dvd to the AVR with HDMI and from the AVR to the Plasma with Component for now and HDMI in the (not so far) future.

I don't think you can convert from HDMI to component on the 2807, only the other way round, probably best to connect DVD using component also.

Regards

Ok, thanks guys. I'm releived to know that nothing is "broken".
So now I have arguments to tell my wife I "need" a new plasma, like the Sony KDL 52X2000 !

Of course the Sony is a LCD, but you get my drift.

Re: AVR2807 connected to 1930 via HDMI

We're going out of topic here, but I did see the pictures and I read the reviews and both were impressive.

The plasma is 42 inch and I'm thinking about going a bit larger (50 inch) and full HD.
I also hear a lott of good reviews from users and magazines about the pana's, but to my taste the design is butt ugly!

Re: AVR2807 connected to 1930 via HDMI

Wait for the new Viera series. Their design is very goos, and there will be 42" full HD and 50" full HD. Much better than any LCD you can get And cheaper to

About the 2807: Are you happy with it? I'm think on replacing my Onkyo for one.

Re: AVR2807 connected to 1930 via HDMI

Regarding the pana's we will have to wait and (litteraly)see.

I had an Onkyo before the 2807. I liked it and thought I was hearing good music.

The 2807 blew the Onkyo away. All my cd's (played through a wireless Squeezebox) are sounding so much better. My dvd's are better also, but not as much as the cd's.

So I am very happy with the 2807.
