N80 not displayin name on received texts anyone help ?

i have a few names stored in my phone but it seems only a fcertain few wont display the name of the sender when i receive a text it just shows there number.anyone out there know why that is ? i cant seem to get my head round why there is no pattern to why it does it.

guessing could be if you have them saved as international dialling code, ie with th +44, then it would confuse the phone when 07etc texts/calls you.
other thought - if you have them saved on phone memory and the n80 is looking at sim memory only perhaps?
i have same phone but haven't noticed same problem, i'll see if i can replicate it later today (once i've painted new cloakroom, entrance hall, dining room.... ) on second thoughts perhaps it will be tomorrow before i get a proper look!

no prob hi def anytime you could have a look would be appreciated.how do i get it to look at both sim and phone mem btw ?

p.s i tried the +44 thing as that was one of the firsdt thing i did but it wasnt that.

usually when names dont display properly on incoming calls/texts its because you have the same number stored for more than one contact, so it doesnt know which one to display so it displays nothing

i.e you have the same number stored as "Home" and "Dad" or something
