Pure DMX-50 - CD Skipping

Hi,

My dad got one of these systems about a year ago. He's really pleased with it, especially the DAB.

However for the last couple of months the CD player seems to skip and jump an awful lot. On every disk.

We tried a cd lens cleaner in it (one of the ones with the little brushes underneath the CD) but it seems to have made no difference.

Has anyone had a similar issue with this unit, or can anyone suggest a solution.

I think he needs to contact Pure as well, but he can't find his receipt at the moment.

Can't help you on the DMX50, but I have had to change two DMT300's due to CD player problems. The first one stopped working after six months and was changed under guarantee. The second one was exhibiting a loud hum after the original warranty ran out.
To their credit Pure agreed to send me a new one in replacement, so it is worth emailing them even if you don't have the receipt as they can work out from the serial number how old it is.
