JVC KD-611S removal help

Hi - i'm a total novice

How can i get this unit out?! with it i got 2 ' coat hanger type wires and 1 ' L ' shaped bar. It works OK but the radio does nt... i figured i would start by checking the aerial was connected to the back... i've checked that its connected at the roof....

I've got that same head unit i think. anyway you need to remove the face then remove the plasic cover aound it that covers up the cage that hold the stereo in. then you should be able to see where you slide those L shaped thinst along side the cage( pointy bits grip the unit and help pull it out). They should grip the stereo and pull it out enough for you to pull by hand.
